The Building

Dr. Fantasma runs her laboratory in St. Augustine on George Street, funded by her paranormal gift shop. She opens her lab to anyone who wants to further their ghostly experience past the tacky trinkets she sells in the front. She herself lives on the top floor of her one-stop shop of the paranormal.

The High Concept

Cast out from the scientific community, Dr. Anastasia Fantasma continues her pursuit to prove the existence of ghosts. She welcomes fellow paranormal investigators into her laboratory, where they will help her not only confirm the existence of ghosts but also capture the spirits they have conjured in the very lab they are visiting.

Illustration of Annie’s personal office: photographs, awards, and personal items from her past profession

Guests will enter into Annie’s personal office, where she will explain her ghostly technology to guests and how her laboratory will work. In this room, guests can find objects such as photographs, awards, and personal items that tell them of her past profession as well as her passion for the paranormal.

Phase 1 · Conjure Ghost · 30 minutes

The Laboratory

Illustration of Dr. Fantasma’s laboratory mid-conjuring: machines, glass bulbs, and a containment chamber under green light

In the lab, guests will help Dr. Fantasma conjure enough electric magnetic energy through the use of her various machines and devices, plus their own desire to conjure a spirit. However, not everything goes to plan when the ghost breaks free from its containment chamber and wreaks havoc on the room. Guests must rush to fix the machines as the ghost tries to stop the guests’ efforts through their ghostly powers connected to how they died. If the guests are successful, the ghost will be captured for good, and Dr. Fantasma will reward them for their help in her scientific break through! However, if guests fail to help catch the ghost in time, Dr. Fantasma will ask guests to leave to protect themselves, while she herself is left to fend off the spirit.

The Capture & Ending

Illustration of Dr. Fantasma congratulating guests after the spirit’s capture

Dr. Fantasma now congratulates her guests on successfully capturing the spirit! She ushers the guests back out to her shop and encourages them to purchase a keepsake to always remember the time they spent together. The only thing left to do is for Dr. Fantasma to decide whether or not she’ll mention the guests’ help in her discovery for her award acceptance speech... but that’s another day’s problem!
